\u00c8 finito il Sessantotto? 50\u00b0<\/strong>\u00a0is a re-release of the double album<\/a> dedicated to the songs of ’68 released on the 50th anniversary of that historic year and period of civil and social fights.
\n\u00c8 finito il Sessantotto? 50\u00b0\u00a0is reissued becoming part of the historic catalog of <\/strong>I dischi del sole<\/em><\/a>, <\/strong><\/b>with the addition of two new unreleased songs written for the occasion.
\nThe cover is the album’s original cover by Vauro<\/b>.
\nThe title of the collection corresponds with that of the song in which Ivan Della Mea tells about his “Sessantotto”, part of the compilation.
\nStefano Arrighetti<\/strong>‘s notes play the songs offered in this historic compilation.<\/p>\n

many of the songs soundtracked the 60s-70s period, reflecting the mood of the time.
\nThe songs are perfectly in tune with what was happening in the squares, in the universities, in the workplaces; they are the “the way we were<\/em>” of a generation.<\/p>\n

Unforgettable songs flow through the album, such as Paolo Pietrangeli<\/strong>‘s Contessa<\/em>, which is a true manifesto and pageant anthem.
\nO<\/i>\u00a0cara moglie<\/i> by Ivan Della Mea<\/b> and Rossa provvidenza (basi americane)<\/i> by Rudi Assuntino<\/b>.
\nBallata della Fiat<\/i> by Alfredo Bandelli<\/b>\u00a0 and also Uguaglianza<\/i> by Paolo Pietrangeli <\/b>about factory protests.
\nPartono gli emigranti, <\/i>again by Alfredo Bandelli<\/b>, deals with the problems of migration.
\nValle Giulia<\/i> by Paolo Pietrangeli<\/b> and Giovanna Marini, <\/b>\u00a0Io vi parlo di Milano<\/i> by Diego De Palma<\/b> about students going to the streets to protest.
\nAll songs describing the chronicle with specific dates and places, for example Avola due dicembre 1968<\/i> by Giovanni Poggiali<\/b> and Annie<\/b> which talks about when the police fired on the fighting protestors causing deaths and injuries .<\/p>\n

There are also more intimate and personal pieces that travel through history.
\nThe beautiful Nina ti te<\/i>\u00a0ricordi<\/i> by Gualtiero Bertelli<\/b> or Anni Settanta<\/i>\u00a0nati dal fracasso<\/i> by Paolo Pietrangeli<\/b>.
\nThere are also songs against the war in Vietnam and for the ongoing revolution in Cuba, and even a recording of Che Guevara’s speech at the UNO on December 12, 1964.<\/p>\n

The unreleased songs<\/h2>\n

The two unreleased songs are performed by two of the main protagonists of that season of songs and social struggles.
\nOne by Giovanna Marini<\/b> , Dal 68\u2019 al blog<\/i>, a long and serious sung poem that refers to a social “fog” that hides everything and a “virtual” world, here identified in the use of the blog, that isolates people from the real world.
