Botanica in the second album by Deproducers.

The Deproducers are the exceptional musical collective formed by some of the most influential artists of the Italian music scene such as Vittorio Cosma, Riccardo Sinigallia, Gianni Maroccolo and Max Casacci.

Botanica comes out after the success of Planetario, which told in music about the universe, the asters, the moon and the stars.
The Deproducers continue to relate music and science to tell, this time, the wonders of the plant world.
Botanica is an innovative and immersive project. In the album, the Deproducers and Prof. Stefano Mancuso, one of the most important international botanical researchers , will unveil "the senses" of plants and transform them into storytelling.

The story is told through unreleased songs and musical themes, original video projections by Marino Capitanio, and set designs by Peter Bottazzi.
Plants "feel," experience emotions, develop strategies and make decisions.
Guitar, bass and keyboards continually switch roles to give voice to the plants' breaths, raindrops falling on leaves or animals moving through the forest.

In this new production we find an exceptional frontman on stage, Telmo Pievani, a philosopher of biology and expert on the theory of evolution.
Pievani is the author of numerous national and international publications in the field of philosophy of science, and the narrator of the show.
The goal is to make people perceive that, just like humans, plants have senses.

Plants breathe and with their intelligence put in place complex strategies to survive, grow, thrive and even converse.
In the lyrics of the songs (the titles are illuminating: Pianeta verde, Fotosintesi, Radici, Vegetazione modulare, Disboscamento etc.) the Deproducers tell of the magic of the plant world and its importance for our own survival.
A musical narration that lives on music and words but also on the wonder it inspires in the audience.

The release of the album was followed by a popular tour.
