Info

Three years after the release of his last album, "Cascina Piovanotto", Giorgio Conte returns with a new studio album titled "Sconfinando".
The album contains 16 tracks recorded with the Orchestra Sinfonica Duchessa di Parma, conducted by Maestro Alessandro Nidi.
The Maestro who also played the piano and edited the arrangements.

On the album we find both unreleased songs and Giorgio Conte's versions of songs written - sometimes with his brother Paolo Conte - for other artists, here re-proposed in a symphonic version.
There are also some covers: that of "Deborah," for example, the song composed by Vito Pallavicini (lyrics) and Paolo Conte and Pino Massara (music).
Fausto Leali (paired with Wilson Pickett) brought this song to the 1968 Sanremo Festival competition.
The result was an r&b song that in this album is "transformed" into a slow and charming milonga, thanks to Maestro Nidi's piano revisiting.
About the concept, the singer-songwriter explains, "In this album there is indeed a personal 'artistic trespass' of mine. I stepped out of the sonic recital of my
previous productions by entering a limitless prairie of symphonic sounds
."
"Sconfinando" is a sumptuous album with symphonic breath.
The orchestra played with Giorgio Conte's stories and melodies and allowed the singer-songwriter to go beyond his comfort zone, trespassing into new horizons.
